Pictures were a staple of my childhood.
The memories of my mom with camera in hand are forever engraved in my mind. My mom scrap-booked EVERY season of our lives. My brother and I pour over photo books filled with adorable babies, short shorts and 80’s hair, first days of school, Doc Martens and Airwalks, vacations and Christmas mornings. We linger on each page, reliving each special moment our family created together. They are the most precious of heirlooms. Those books will never understand their own worth, but we will never forget.
On some occasions when we were just enjoying our adventure and there weren’t enough pictures commemorating that day, my mom would say “I wish I had more pictures of today!"
This mother’s echo is the mantra of Photogra{B}Hill. Let’s not let another moment pass without documenting your family as you are right now.
May we never say, I wish I had gotten more pictures of today.
And these are my boys!
Pretty cute, aren't they?! These three are the reason this whole journey started.
Adam got a “fancy camera” for me before Milo was born so that I could capture the beautiful memories of our kids with a good camera. This was obviously before Apple went crazy and made ridiculous cameras that we can carry in our back pockets.
Anyway, we wanted great pictures of our boys as they grew from sweet, little babies to big, rambunctious boys. My oldest, Milo, is ten and headed into 5th grade, which in our district is MIDDLE SCHOOL. I’m not quite sure how the time flew by that fast. Milo is on track to earn a black belt in Taekwondo in a couple years. He dabbles in some other sports, but martial arts has been a consistent practice. Milo is witty, kind, and a defender of family. The only one allowed to bug his family is… him.
Ashton is eight and headed into third grade. Five years ago I wrote this for the website… “I can just hear his future teachers say how energetic this boy is.” And yep. My predictions came true. He's a little fish in the water, loves fruit (nicknamed fruitbat by some). and can do some pretty awesome flips. I’m convinced he’s going to become a stunt double. He is so silly, sweet, stubborn, and smart.
Adam and I have been married for 15 years… married on Pi Day.
We both teach at the same high school full time.
I am a math teacher; he is a music teacher and assistant band director; we all know who the students think is cooler than the other.
Adam is an INCREDIBLE percussionist and has a huge resume of fantastic feats. Most recently, he’s started a business: The ADH Experience to perform freelance for corporations, musicians, weddings, etc. Beyond that, Adam is a super cool dad and amazingly supportive of this business and has been the most encouraging through all of its stages.
